I have to go get some groceries for my camp site tonight. Looks like there is a Food Lion nearby so I will make the most epic grocery run through the Devil’s Whip! Maybe I should skip the eggs since I don’t think they will survive the trip lol.

And of course it’s crucial you go as fast as you can so things don’t spoil ;)

I figured that you were staying at the Campground at Fontana Village . . . but maybe you are getting some variety. Hope everything is going well so far.

Mt Mitchell was just my layover for Wednesday night. I’m at Turkey Creek Campground in Almond, NC. Only about 20 minutes down 28 from Fontana. So I’ll have a nice warm up in the morning. Today was such an insane day of driving though. Nonstop amazing roads. I followed a group of locals around and it was crazy. I couldn’t keep up with them but it was fun as hell driving at my own pace.

I’m just about to leave (and abandon computer) after I check the vitals of my car. Plan for today changed so I’m looking forward to MORE fun road driving, weather permitting (bummer for my motorcycle riding friends). Biggest issue is not being familiar with those roads, so I won’t be able to go as fast as others might, which sounds like what you experienced. Maybe I’ll see you out there!
